Captain
Nikolaos Rokakis
Nikos graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy in 2011 with a Captain Class A’ Diploma. He is certified in Medical Care, Crowd Management and Control, S.S.O, Firefighting and Lifesaving appliances and holds a speedboat operator license. He is also certified by PADI as an advanced open water diver. After graduation, he commenced a career on Cruise Ships and in 2012 decided to join the yachting industry. He possesses excellent multitasking skills and can complete a wide variety of tasks related to the field. His politeness and experience make him the captain everyone is looking for.
Chief Officer
Vasileios Karavasilis
After graduating from the Merchant Marina Academy of Aspropyrgos with a Captain Class A’ Diploma, Vasilis worked his way up through the ranks of the maritime industry. His sailing experience has taken him all over the world and after logging thousands of nautical miles he eventually found his way to M/Y Vertigo. He holds a speedboat operator license as well as other maritime licenses and certifications, he has certainly made the most out of his career at sea. With his knowledge and experience Vasilis aims to provide an enjoyable and safe time on board.
Chief Engineer
Zannis Kallimasias
Zannis is a professional with a career which covers many fields of the industry, from commercial ships, cruise ships & yachts up to Superintendent engineer’s experience. He is very well adapted for day-to-day technical supervising, carrying out projects as set by the management, at sea or during dry docks but also being very efficient in taking quick definite decisions in the field, when conditions warrant so. He is a senior level yacht and commercial ship engineer with a diplomatic and hands-on management style. A very friendly, cooperative and motivated person, who is willing to be part of M/Y Vertigo and offer his best.
Chef
Nikos Ntemiris
Nikos holds a degree in Culinary Arts from the IEK Praxis College and has attended seminars on pastry, Japanese gastronomy, Modern Greek Fusion Cuisine, food hygiene according to HACCP standards and modern grilling technics. He commenced a career as a Chef in 2011 and later worked in many renowned hotels and restaurants in Greece. After ten years of active working experience, Nikos has developed his culinary skills and is able to provide an amazing all-round food experience for our guests.
Chief Steward
Dimitrios Makariou
Dimitris always had a passion to work at sea and combining his passions and talent and skills in hospitality he finally joined the yacht industry.
From 2019 onwards, he worked on board luxurious motor yachts. He is a willing and tireless person with outstanding service skills that are carried out in a discrete and proficient manner.
Dimitris’ priority is to meet his guests’ needs with outstanding results and excellently perform on his duties during demanding cruises.
Assistant Stewardess
Ioanna Moschovou
Ioanna holds a degree in business administration and has various experiences as a waitress. She decided to pursue a career path in hospitality services and later yachting. She also has excellent skills as a graphic designer and successfully works under pressure and delivers amazing results. Distinguished by her kindness, Ioanna puts the needs of the guests in the center and always does her best to ensure a carefree stay on board.
Assistant Stewardess
Christianna Panagoulopoulou
Christianna holds a degree as a physiotherapist and along with her experience as a yoga instructor and her love for hospitality and sea, started her career in yachts and is an empowerment to our team of M/Y Vertigo. She also used to work as a waitress and in 2021 decided to be a member of the yachting industry. Her excellent communication skills and kind manners make her the perfect fit for our team. Always finds ways to meet our guests’ needs and do her best to ensure that they have a comfortable time on board.
Assistant Stewardess
Priscilla Cabinta
Priscilla has completed the basic safety training and holds all the necessary marine certificates including ship security awareness and proficiency in survival craft and rescue boats. She has more than ten years of experience as a stewardess and she is an expert in flower decoration, housekeeping and laundry. With a high knowledge of hygiene procedures and a passion for ensuring guests receive the best experience possible.
Bosun
Xenofon Kavvadias
Xenofon holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and a degree from the American College of Greece. He has completed the STCW training for seafarers and decided to join the yachting industry. His professionalism combined with his passion for the sea makes him offer a unique and safe water sports experience to our guests.
Deckhand
Aris Notaropoulos
Aris is a graduate of the Technical School with a Diploma in Vehicle Engineering and high-speed boat operator license. He commenced his career at sea in 2018 working onboard as deckhand in Ro-Ro passenger vessels. However, in 2021 joined the yachting industry and served on luxury motor and sailing yachts. He can carry out any given assignment and given his dedication and love for sea his teamwork is a major factor.
Deckhand
Michalis Garaganis
Mike is a graduate of the Masters University of Greenwich Marine Engineering and from Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers. His love for the sea is unfathomed and this led him on yachts to sail and do what he really wanted. He commenced his career at sea in 2016 working onboard as deckhand in tankers and then in 2022 at touristic and daily cruise ships all around Aegean sea. He is fully capable and enthusiastic to take on his role on the yacht as a deckhand and evolve even more. His ability to work collaboratively with others makes him a perfect team player.
